Host of Good Evening Ghana, Paul Adom-Otchere, has advised Member of Parliament (MP) for Klottey Korle constituency, Dr Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings not to think of being the running mate for John Dramani Mahama.
According to him, inasmuch as people are rooting for her based on her background, “it’s not time for her on this running mate matters yet” instead, it is the time for her to step up her game if she wants to retain her seat in parliament as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are also working tirelessly to overthrow her.
He also noted that Zanetor’s competitor for the parliamentary seat in the constituency is a young accountant who’s going all out to win the hearts of the constituents with the backing of the NPP.
In an editorial, Adom-Otchere indicated that, “this time, NPP are not going to have another candidate. The NPP have united behind a single candidate, a young man who is an accountant in the area and is a driving force and it looks like he’s driving into Dr Rawlings and they are going to have a major contest that the entire media will be watching at the Klottey Korley constituency.”
The broadcaster, however, asserted that the MP’s father, J.J. Rawlings is in talks John Dramani Mahama to select a running mate from the Ashanti region.
The NDC is said to announce John Dramani Mahama’s mate in May.
